I always have found this site very interesting, it's a couple pages of interesting quotes, many of which are related to atheism. Vagabox Burn < They tend to make me think a bit.

    My fellow Athiesians,

Last night I was thinking of yet another thing that bothers me about one believing in a "God", that being one believing in an afterlife, or, rather one *not* believing in their mortality!!!

I think of crazy Christian men who kill their entire families and then themselves thinking that they all will be safe in heaven!!!!

Me and my atheistic self view murder as a HUGE deal, why? Because I understand that everyone's life is and will be once lived until their death permanently and irretrievably ends it.

When has that happened? I know of that woman who had about six kids and drowned them in the bathtub but she was cracked from postpartum depression.

What about the atheists that gun down a couple dozen kids at school just because he doesn't give a fuck and life is pointless?

Those jackasses are usually off their meds. Also atheists don't comprise a group in the same way that members of a religion do since the only thing they have in common is a lack of belief in gods.

I assumed that Dana's point was that their actions have about as much to do with atheists in general as crazy Christian men killing their families has to do with Christians in general.

I think, that in a way, (sane), atheists may take more offense to death/murder than the normal person, because we realize/believe that there is nothing after death. No nice heaven to go to.

I just fear that the majority of people who are led to believe that there is a life after death, will be more inclined to not take their lives and the lives of others seriously.
