    That's true, but when the "tone" changes 5 times in the span of 3 lines, it becomes ineffective (and overwhelming).

    Actually, she's our highest self-monitoring member.

    because she is experiencing all those emotions within those three lines. As in, a multitude of feelings each time, rather than just a single one. Isn't it this way for a lot of people? Rarely does one feel just a single emotion each time..
    You gave me hyacinths first a year ago;
    They called me the hyacinth girl.
    Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
    Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
    Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
    Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
    Looking into the heart of light, the silence.

    This made me think of my ISTP hubby who is very strong T. He seems to have only few emotions and they are: being angry, being happy (which is seen when he is being funny) and being tired (which I know is not actually an emotion ) Most of the time he is just stable and a bit "rock faced" unlike me who is experiencing multiple emotions in a very short time period. :steam: etc.

    So, we are kind of funny couple with one going on emotional rollercoaster and the other one wondering what's up with the other one. But I think it's good that way. We balance eachother (=he balances me and I totally appreciate the balancing ).

    She writes like my best friend for 10 years talked We joked EVERYTHING we talked, and if something serious had to be slipped in, we just made a joke out of it We kept each other guessing, but yet we knew where we were going. You could tell from the topic and the reaction that the other wanted to discuss something serious, tho if you got the wrong kind of reaction, you just didn't try to make it a serious topic then.

    Like, I thought her sis was attractive, so I joke about dating her - he gets upset, well no problem, it was a joke to begin with

    I just had to see this thread.

    You lost whatever! Next time: not only don't use a smiley, don't even post in it. Link to it, let everyone know you've read it, but don't post!

    She can mess with the big girls but she can't mess with the big boys. She'd never pull that off.
