I love In Flames and Tool is good too.

I think they suck and why isn't this a public poll?

I like them a lot, but as Heart says "fan" might be too strong a word. I have a few mp3s but no albums.

    Nope.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    Excellent choice.

By the way, the new Rush stuff (Test for Echo - present) doesn't sound like what you're hating. He can't sing up high anymore (not well... ugh). His chords are worn the fuck out.
His chords aren't worn out. All voices get deeper with age. I'm a singer so I have experienced it first hand. And yes, I LOVE RUSH! PROBABLY MY FAVOURITE BAND OF ALL TIME. I HAVE ALMOST ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS, BUT THEY HAVE SO MANY I AM STILL WORKING ON IT! EVERYTHING THEY DO IS AWESOME! I JUST RECENTLY SAW THEM IN CONCERT IN AUGUST OF LAST YEAR AND IT WAS THE BEST CONCERT I'VE EVER SEEN! ALSO, THEY ARE COMING BACK TO MY HOMETOWN IN APRIL AND I BOUGHT TICKETS FOR THEM YESTERDAY! LONG LIVE RUSH! and I like In Flames, Tool, Primus, Godsmack (pretty much every other band mentioned so far)

I may be the only person on Earth that loves Rush and thinks Primus is one of the worst bands in history.

I like Tool okay, but they're too funereal for me to listen to on a regular basis. I've never heard of In Flames, but now I feel like I should check them out.
Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight.

To this day, when I think of Rush I think of Thursday afternoons after school, when I and my high-school freshman and sophomore buddies would walk downtown to the Red Door Sub Shop in Thurmont, order a large deluxe pizza, and play Asteroids on the floor-model game while "Tom Sawyer" thundered on the jukebox.

If I close my eyes, I can still smell plywood and oregano. That's what the Red Door smelled like inside. We did this in the Fall, the night of every JV football game. The pizza was our pregame meal. That would have been in 1981 and 1982.
