Pirate of the Carribean I and III. The second one was bullshit. All it was good for was introducing Becket and Davey Jones and Calypso.

Am I the only one who thought Pirates 2 was the best? I dunno, I thought it had the most creative action sequences in the franchise.

I really didn't think much of the other two.

I think we've done this go-round before, but I liked #1 the best by far, then #3 and #2 trailing well behind in that order.

I haven't seen it, how old is it? I stopped watching movies around 2002.

    ^^

Brazil was over-rated and I like Terry Gilliam in theory. Actually, other than "Time Voyagers" or whatever that movie was (with the infernal toaster) his movies are all style no substance. I should like them, but I don't. I find them boring. I know what art critics refer to it as but such a term is not proper for a lady such as myself.

I love Mad Max and the Thunderdome!!! Tina Turner was awesome in that film. "Two men enter! One man leaves!" And the way she says "MastahBlastah" And the kooky characters and Lord of Flies-esque children's motif. When they start chanting it's eerie. The film incoroporate all the elements of apocolypse in a way that's believable, anti-futuristic and very 80s (kind like A Boy And His Dog.

I like the rousing speech scene at the beginning of 'The Warriors', but considering they spoofed it for an MTV commercial, who doesn't?

Did anyone else notice that movie "Doomsday?" or whatnot that is an exact rip-off of the Mad Max franchise? At least it won't be as bad as The Postman or Waterworld. Kevin Costner directing movies = YIKES and someone getting fired. I can barely stand to see him act.

I also like Strictly Ballroom, which was IMHO much better than that movie with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

PS Did anyone else notice my glaring AP and Chicago style errors?
