Whiskey sours are awesome. I loves 'em.

I'm not well-versed enough in whiskeys to tell a Scotch from an Irish or a Kentucky or whatever, though. I know I like Maker's Mark, is all I know.

go on. *industriously scribbles down notes on the different whiskies*

    digression: spelling--

    whisky or whiskey?

    plural: whiskys, or whiskies?

the last sounds like a doggie.
    You gave me hyacinths first a year ago;
They called me the hyacinth girl.
Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
Looking into the heart of light, the silence.

whisky set off my Firefox spelling sensors. Whiskey did not, so I guess that's how you spell it.

Whiskeys appears to be the correct pluralization! Who knew!

Balderdash! You Americans, always believing you're the centre of the world, always believing you're right!

Have some more cocktails to tide you over this quarrelsome period.

    To answer a bunch...

    - Jameson is Irish whiskey. Me love

    - There's definitely a smoky taste in Scotch (blech) and to me peat is very similar.

    - I believe I learned in Ireland that "whisky" is the preferred spelling for Scotch and "whiskey" for Irish, American and other whiskeys.

    - Maker's Mark is bourbon, which is a kind of whiskey that is uniquely American and is mostly made in Kentucky. And is yummy.

    - Mojitos, yum yum!
Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight.
