I agree with you on the 8w7, although I always felt that he was far too impulsive and stubborn to be a J (then again I'm also referring to only the first season, which I haven't watched in ages).

ISFP of course (or maybe INFP, but I think Mew is more of the INFP).

actually, ironically, ENFJs are sometimes very impulsive (dominant Fe after all) and ENFPs usually aren't. he also seems way to action oriented to be an ENFP. not to say that ENFPs are lazy (although I am lol) but the thinking/acting ratio I would think would be much higher if he were ENFP.

Actually ENFJ does make sense, especially considering that a hot-head like Ash would have inferior Ti.

I think it can also work if you assign types to the, er, types - excluding Normal, which is pretty much a mixed bag...

    ESTJ - Ground
    ESFJ - Bug
ISTJ - Rock (lesser breadth, more independence)
    ISFJ - Water
    ESFP - Fire
    ESTP - Fighting
    ISFP - Grass
    ISTP - Poison
    ENTP - Electric
    ENTJ - Steel
INTP - Ghost (remote, detached from the physical environment)
    INTJ - Ice
ENFP - Flying (expansive, exploratory and energetic)
ENFJ - Dragon (magnanimous yet kind)
INFP - Dark (unafraid to "plumb the depths" of pure passion)
    INFJ - Psychic (yes, I'm aware it's a bit of a cliché...)

this is a really spot on list, except I see ESFJ as normal, ENFJ as flying and INFP as dragon (deep, mythical power, fiery passion)

Well, I had to make do with what I had... Plus, I thought assigning Normal to any type - as if genericness was a defining trait or essence - just didn't seem right. ESFJs may be pretty common, but that's not what defines them.

I agree with normal as being the neutral type for two reasons:

    1. the is no normal MBTI/JCF type, although some are more abundant than others, but in that regard the top one would go to ESTP

    2. another type would have to be left out of place, and normal is essentially the most neutral one that won't disturb the balance of Pokemon and MBTI/JCF types.
