Hmmm... prolly shouldn't be here. Tis not a good place to be. I mostly feel the need to pay so much attention to my spelling that I can't actually post anything significant.

    Stupid spelling requirements

I do think I should get kudos for not only fighting nature conspiring against my spelling skills but also for the fact that it was written with one eye closed.

Hell! Im getting outta here while I can.

You do chill red wines, just not as cold as white wine.

Red wine is supposed to be drunk a bit below 60 degrees F.

I've seen women put icecubes in red wine. They were British (the women), which may be relevent. I may have sneered. I...I can't be sure.

Interesting and very odd. I've never seen that done, perhaps all the British women who do that have been sent to Australia for being bad?

My mom does this. Then again, my mom drinks wine from a box so I'm not sure it really matters much. Whatever makes her happy. She thinks I'm a snob because I told her not to chill the red wine when I made dinner for my parents one time, and because I objected to her selection of sangria to be served with spaghetti.

Yup. I'm thinking the "do not chill" conventional wisdom is because most can't be bothered to take care to get it to "just under 60*F" when 70*F is not so terrible and is much closer to the ideal than cold red wine.

I shouldn't be stunned. I've seen people pour beer over icecubes in a glass.

I can't be sure, but I think that's how my great aunt & uncle drank their beer. They were old-school farmers.

In Mexico, beer over ice with a little lime juice is a popular summer drink.
