Only buy what you can pay for in cash.

    My INTP husband estimated $35,000.

Depends on your tastes and what you've already got.

If I were starting from scratch, I reckon at minimum in this country I'd need around... 1500 GBP per room, double that for the living room and kitchen. that's if I were getting everything new. If I weren't so fussy however (which I'm not), I'd probably do the lot for around 3000 GBP (about $5,000). I've done it for less...well, I've never had a place that big - that's pretty big for these parts.

But I've moved to a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom place and furnished the lot on 1,500 GBP when I had no choice. It didn't look bad either.

I agree very strongly with Geoff and INTJMom though. Cos that's what I did in the situation above. Took me about 4 years to get it all properly kitted out, but I don't owe a penny to anyone. It's been worth it to slum it a bit for a while, to now be living in comfort AND with no debts.

The first question you have to ask is... "what kind of dining set defines me as a person?"

If I were you because furniture new is hell expensive, is find estate sales. I got a nice coffee table and chair for like less than 30 dollars total. And if I had gotten those same things new from a store it would have easily been over $500, you can find nice furniture for cheap at estate sales and thrift stores. My brother got a geniune leather sofa set for like 200$ it's included a couch and 2 over stuffed chairs we found out later the couch alone is worth something like $600. With estate sales you can get the stuff inexpenive lot of the time because the family just wants it gone.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so
