Yes, loneliness is mysterious because all we feel is the pain, and we can't understand what is causing the pain, but the pain is real.

And it is a debilitating pain. It affects every part of our life, flaring up at particular times or in particular places.

It's not a pain we can go to the doctor for. We can't complain to our parents or teachers because they can do nothing.

Sometimes though when I have been lonely, I have experienced great beauty. I particularly remember Lake Burley Griffin turning to silver in the twilight. And somehow the beauty eases the pain.

And if I were mystical, I would say loneliness prepares us for falling in love. It's as though our soul is fasting and purifying, preparing us for a special someone.

I live with loneliness like a baby blanket that I can't part ways with.

    Did you just start college?
I remember the first few weeks to be a terrible experience.. But as long as you don't lock yourself up like a hermit, keep going to classes, meals, and activities, friends will come quicker than you expected. Your ENFJ charm is going to attract everyone around

You'll miss your old friends for a long time, but this is a learning and growing experience that you will grow to love.. Until then, just try to relax and get plenty of sleep and take care of yourself.
