Option a) Thanksgiving. It's got all of the holiday-stress baggage, but it's not *too* commercialized, is one of the few holidays whose message that can apply personally to almost everyone, and I like the positivity of it. Plus, I get two days off of work .
Option b) Labor day. Absolutely zero holiday baggage, is sort of the unofficial start of the fall season (my favorite), and often involves hanging out doing something outdoors. Not commercialized. Win-win!
