samsung galaxy 2 (exchanging it to 3 soon). it's really nice - i prefer it over the iphones models, but the thing is i view it from a developer's perspective (what is better to develop apps for), so i am not sure the consumer's is in-line.
i will tell you that the android models have a much richer & divers long-tail of apps for this very reason - they do a much better job by the developer tools, so you can develop innovations and small features for smaller niche uses & markets, but more garbage to filter through as well.
while in IOS you will only develop things you know are a sure thing, because you have to justify the higher cost and longer development time.
hypothetically you would gain the advantage of security, because you'd think apple would filter anything of that sorts, but it turns out apple has been collecting Siri conversations from the user base for quite some time themselves, so now google employees aren't allowed to carry the new iphone models to work out of a legitimate fear for industrial espionage. ofcourse google is well known to already record every search entry you have... how is that better? if you want to avoid spying, you're pretty much fucked with products from the last 7 years. your only hope is to just not be interesting enough. /rant
