I'm getting chickens for real -- tomorrow. I feel all excited and scared like I did when I brought my first baby home from the hospital. I hope I don't screw things up!
It's always kind of freaky when something I really wanted to happen actually happens and I have to trade in my daydream for reality and find out if my daydream was good or stupid. You can never know about some things until you actually do them irl. I kinda hate that part. Because I'm chicken! :chicken:
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.” ~ John Rogers
