    I hate bad cake.

Like that German chocolate cake Sally brought to work. Or that stuff at the grocery store.

Now... Sweet Jill's can make a mean cake. They make my birthday cakes.

    Chocolate with cream cheese frosting.

I have had some cake that was really good, some that was pretty bad, and most is so-so. If it's a birthday cake, I avoid the corner pieces, flowers, etc because they have way too much icing.

I like cookies, pie, brownies, cheesecake and stuff like that.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

+1. Having a cake for decoration only is like buying a Ferrari just to look good in your driveway.

    .

Cake is freaking awesome. But bad cake is an affront to everything that is good and holy. Grocery store cake is an outright abomination.

Buttercream is the BEST. And I always get in line for cake first so I can have a corner piece and hopefully a flower.

I like cake, but I don't really like frosting.

And let's face it, the batter is the best part anyways. I don't know why people bother cooking it.

You want to bake me a cake? Save yourself the trouble and just make the batter, then feed it to me.

+1. I think people sometimes assume that cake is bad because mainstream, grocery store, Costco-style cake is bad. But there's a lot of cake that's good. Like german chocolate cake, or cheesecake, or red velvet cake...

Damn, I forgot that strawberry cheesecake is actually cake and not ice cream.
I love strawberry cheesecake. So... All cake is not bad.

I prefer pie to cake. Pie is higher on the evolutionary chain than cake in general. I don't hate cake but a lot of cakes I don't care much for. In general don't like carrot cake or most standard box cake mixes found at the grocery store, nor nearly all canned frosting for that matter.

I redact everything I have written or will write on this forum prior to, subsequent with and or after the fact of its writing. For entertainment purposes only and not to be taken seriously nor literally.
