Default are you serious when you use smilies?

Like when I use smilies I'm usually having fun and they do not convey my actual emotions. Does this even make sense?

my facial expressions don't even convey what I'm feeling about things most of the time

my emoticon rule goes something like this... if lucille ball was reading what I posted what expression would she be making at that moment?

I'm signifigantly more expressive, both facially and emoticon wise than I am emotional!

Usually. I generally type things out the way I'd say them out loud, including emphasis (generally expressed by italics), and expression (smileys).

I am only serious when I use the following smilies:

    DEADLY SERIOUS.
Your kisses, sweeter than honey. But guess what, so is my money.

Sometimes I feel like I'm just acting out a part on stage, depending on what seems the most interesting or dramatic or humorous. Inside I might not be feeling much at all.

I mean it. Probably.. 99% of the time. They convey what I'm actually feeling.

I'm always serious when I use smileys.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

I choose smileys subconcious most of the time, but they seem to fit how I feel.

To me, smilies indicate the tone of my post and provide contextual instruction for how to interpret them. Because this is not usually evident just in written word.
