Personality type is NOT based off behavior. It identifies mental processes and a preference for one way of thinking, feeling, perceiving, or sensing, over another. If two people of the same type have different interests and hobbies or act differently, it doesn't mean one of them is not that type. Mental processes can lean towards a particular way of behaving but is far from conclusive and that simple.
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams".
Not of those who are or the emotion itself. But of this idea that enthusiasm is a necessary requirement for doing something. If I waited until I felt enthusiastic I would never move from my slumber in the morning. What's worse is that some people often look for enthusiasm as a kind of magic indicator of a person being competent.
Obviously an enthusiastic but incompetent person can cause immense damage. But more importantly enthusiasm can come at any time. I tend to find enthusiasm comes during an activity, not before. Although it can come before or after.
Different strokes and all that shit. I can be enthusiastic about some things, generally though it's not my nature to be so. It's the power of belief that is such a strong pull towards the cult of enthusiasm, this idea that there is something wrong if a person does not openly express it and that all their endeavours will fail as a result.
Perhaps they are internally enthusiastic? And just because the expression isn't there, doesn't mean that the person is miserable or down in themselves.
Stop putting bollards in the road of other people's progress you fucks. Let them try and fail or succeed. It's how people learn and stop expecting the best outcome in every situation, backed up by the nonsense of enthusiasm being a predictor for success.
I'm enthusiastic for that, at least.
'Consciousness is not simply a sensory-perceptual affair, a matter of mental imagery, as the contents of our mind would have us believe. It is deeply enmeshed with the brain mechanisms that automatically promote action readiness' - Jaak Panksepp
actually I don't if i did we'd be fucked both front ways backwards and sideways it be like an epic sex session that would leave us all very sore so be grateful I don't speak for everyone. Which you should re read the lorax because I say so, there that;s my rant (demanding you read the lorax, but to be perfectly honest I don't care if you I just think you should)
Perfectly robust chickens Run laps a lot Pee on the garden Leap over fences Cock is a word for rooster Hen is a type of chicken? Kit kats are good Nice chickens don't belong in the Zoo
to agree with @ceecee here, I look at abortion the same way as I look at having tubes tied or getting an iud or vasectomy even... in a loving relationship that shit should be discussed between both partners and that's only right for a good and partnered relationship
however, if not in that context, it's just control over one's own reproductive system and one's own fate
this is why I think that it would be a lot more productive to offer free vasectomies and tube tying to anyone who wants it... your body your choice, male or female
Planned Parenthood does them, scalpel free but it appears at only 2 offices. $700 is a great price too.
On a totally unrelated rant, I'd appreciate any and all commercials using a Fitz and the Tantrums song to identify it in the corner of the screen, 100% of the time. I don't want my mother texting me asking what this song is called and who sings it every time she sees the commercial.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.
