The argument that "men keep killing them" is specious at best and spurious at worse. Yes, domestic violence and homicide is a serious and widespread problem but to equate it to "men keep killing them" is a facile analysis, because it would only be reasonable if the gender ratio in the subsection of murder perpetrators and murder victims was disproportionate to the approximately 50/50 makeup.

According to the FBI Expanded Homicide Data (2010)

"Of the 12,996 murder victims in 2010 for which supplemental data were received, most (77.4 percent) were male."

"Of the offenders for whom gender was known, 90.3 percent were males"

From this, it is evident by a substantial margin that female gender is a protective factor against getting involved in homicide at both ends. When a human being kills another human being, it is a very large majority of the time, a man killing a man.

Yes, there is horrific domestic violence that so often turns fatal, but this tumblr quip implies the false assumption most murder victims are female.

By sharing such a facile and intellectually lazy rhetoric, all whom proudly share this are just giving their facebook peers the heads up that they do not possess the instrument of critical thinking to form cogent opinions, and therefore, their opinion on anything should be ignored.

    Pwned.
Not pwned at all. The actual quote is "Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them." Says nothing about men killing mostly women. Nor does the paraphrased quote in your post- your interpretation of it is not how people are using it or thinking of it. Critical thinking indeed.

Personality typing runs out of usefulness and novelty when you identify too much with it. Although I am relatively anonymous here, I still feel stupid and ashamed for saying the things I've said on the topic of "type." And with the way it's presented, I feel personality typings are more of a crutch for people to feel validated. I've also come to notice the lack of genuine dialogue on personality forums compared to any other type of forum I've been on. While this doesn't apply to everyone, it's still all a bit unsettling.

I quoted it verbatim, I'm familiar with the above quote - the thing on facebook was based on it, but distinct in meaning

^I'm aware of that but I don't think your interpretation of the paraphrased quote is correct either.

Why the fuck can't ESFP friend understand that the more he pushes me to consider something the hundredth time, the more annoying he is and the less new information he is telling me? He's a good friend, but he needs to learn to let things go.

I flat out stated that I do not appreciate being pushed, that it's been a pattern and that accepting 'maybe' as an answer would be a great life lesson. What in the flying fuck is going to get this shit through your head? YOU ARE NOT THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE ELABORATING AND TRYING TO PERSUADE AT THIS POINT. Shut. The. Fucking. Fuck. Up. DROP IT.

I want to eat a watermelon but I don't want to have an itchy throat and swollen lips. Fuck oral allergy syndrome. Why will life not let me enjoy myself.

    I'm all out of bullets.
