Fun fact: there are genes that depending on how they're coded in an individual will produce two entirely different interpretations of the smell (and taste) of cilantro. It's not unlike how some people cannot smell cyanide, while to others it has a strong smell reminiscent of almond (almond kernels contain cyanide).
Cilantro may smell like a stink bug and taste like soap to you but to other people it smells and tastes faintly of citrus not unlike lemon or lime.
