@Nicodemus I'm actually more afraid of cockroaches than spiders. How's that for crazy?

Although, I've had a huntsman spider about the size of my hand drop down on me from the ceiling while I was in bed once. That was awful. I screamed like a girl.

Terrible things happen to good people every day.
Consequentially, I am not one of the good people.
I am one of the terrible things.

If you're a smartass/ snide to me, be prepared to be spoken to like a misbehaving teenager, but with higher expectations: I will lecture you until you feel like a 10 year old, even if you're my mother. Grow up. You were a nurse for decades, so I know you have communication skills- USE THEM.

If it was the size of a dalmation and moving quickly, how can you be sure it wasn't a dalmatian?

It's a computer's way of complaining about doing too much work. They have feelings too.

I get comments on being 'too pale' at times, and the same thing applies. I got tired of people telling me I 'needed a tan.' Yeah, I'll go cook my skin just to make you feel comfortable. Pff.

Some people will always find things to be critical about in unconstructive ways. The brat side of me just says, make them uncomfortable back by pointing out how obviously tactless/ignorant the commentary is, or if it were someone I cared about, I'd be more direct in analyzing/resolving that issue, though. Maybe they're projecting their own insecurities, & maybe asserting one's own self-acceptance can indirectly help them to do the same, over time.. if that makes sense.
Well done. You'd make a good xNTP.

P.E. class is a nightmare. So is holding speeches. I've been avoiding it for 3 weeks now but I know I can't avoid it much longer. Not when they start calling my mother. One can't escape from things that terrify one forever, very unfortunately. But I really, really can't do it. The "shy people have the best grades" stereotype does not ring true.

    Delayed flights are the worst.
