People holding an extended, whispered conversation in the cube next to me. Annoying.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

    I hate parties.

What I hate even more is the fact that I'm expected to participate in some of those.

So I guess what I really hate are the social expectations.

I just wanted to alienate myself from this social contract.

No more loud atmospheres with moronic soundtracks. No more loud drunk people making unwitty jokes. No more shouting in order to communicate with people. No more smiling when I don't feel like smiling.

    Being me ain't easy.

I agree entirely. Can't you just refuse to attend? That's what I typically do.

My current rant is about people talking on cell phones in public places, like stores and restaurants. Somehow they always seem to speak louder on a cell phone than they would to live person next to them, with the result that their one-sided phone conversations are much harder to tune out than in-person conversations.
Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it. We should remove the carrot and walk forward with our eyes open. -- Raistlin Majere

Not always. Thing is my family is pretty big. I can skip some relative's birthday parties, but wedding parties are tougher to avoid. I still live with my parents, and individuality isn't very appreciated in my house. I mean, I could refuse to attend, but my parents would make me feel guilty 24/7 for that.

I'll start living alone once I get approved for a good government position, but that's likely gonna take about a year. I have enough money to live in a comfortable lifestyle by myself for about 3 years, but blowing my savings doesn't seem wise right now.

I do not understand how people do not understand the order of things.

I suppose my complete lack of expectation in the universe attributes to this.

I love our new bed, which is so soft you sink into it and have to kind of climb out of the depression your body makes. However, twice now I have pulled a muscle in my shoulder blade when trying to roll over. This, I do not like.

Frak! Clinic/insurance company/fax machines so annoying!! Like 3 months ago I requested a referral from my primary care clinic for the TMJ specialist, and they said they sent it. Then the physical therapy clinic said I didn't have a referral, so I called my clinic again to confirm that they had sent it. They said they had. Then I got my bill for physical therapy, and it was obvious that they had not received the referral. Then I messaged my primary care clinic through their online messaging system, but never heard anything back, so today I checked for a new message, and the one I thought I'd sent had disappeared. URGH! So I called my clinic and asked them to re-send the referral, and the lady asks me for the fax number. I don't know! It's Medica! Surely you fax things to Medica on a daily basis, why do I need to provide the fax number. SHEESH!

I'm feeling frustrated living in linear time, and I'm not even drunk. It is so narrow and constraining. Wouldn't it be amazing to have everything in existence at once? There would never be a feeling of separation, just a continual kaleidoscopic reconfiguring of everything we hold. Although maybe that means the pain would always be present as well. In a way it is inside a person even in linear time, and yet it seems so easy to feel loss of what is valued, and still feel connected to past pain.
