Mother Nature decided to play an April Fool's day joke on me and give me a cold. Meh.

Those little motor scooter things should be banned from the road. I got caught behind one going 25mph in a 45mph zone, and I couldn't pass it... If you can't reach the speed limit you shouldn't be on the road... (Though I'm sure even that piece of junk could have gone faster...)

"Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain-and most fools do"
Dale Carnegie (1888-1955) How to Win Friends and Influence People, 1937

"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it."
    Chinese proverb.

“Be a source of joy, and let the critics and haters complain about the world.” ~ Paulo Coelho

“Events take their course, it is no good of being angry at them; he is happiest who wisely turns them to the account.” Euripides 480-406 BCE

Let it go. Let go of the blame, let go of the guilt, let go of the need to know. Let go of the hurt, sorrow, anger and the self-doubt. Let it all go and set you free." S. Goodman

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves. ~ Carl Gustav Jung

“To be aware of a single shortcoming within oneself is more useful than to be aware of a thousand in somebody else. Rather than speaking badly about people and in ways that will produce friction and unrest in their lives, we should practice a purer perception of them, and when we speak of others - speak of their good qualities.” - Dalai Lama

I sometimes worry that I'm addicted to this site...

Even when I'm on vacation, I have to check it at least once a day - otherwise, I might miss updated threads, and even the ones I haven't read will become white/faded and I wouldn't know which ones have new stuff and aaaaaaa! :panic:

And the birthdays! What if I miss someone's birthday? I already do plenty of that IRL, dammit!

I wore white pants today for the first time in 8 months. Today I also got my period for the first time in 8 months.

    Well fuck you, too.
