    How's that?

MP3 is the inconvenient equivalent to the LP - firstly because the uncertain level of quality loss and secondly, because it isn't inherently gapless and nor is AAC (those of us who listen to live music, DJ sets and classical music care about this). People only use MP3 because it is a hangover from the 90s.

It is now the age of plentiful storage space, so the extra memory usage of FLAC isn't an issue. FLAC is supported by most decent portables (use Rockbox on your portable otherwise), so what is the problem?

My portable record player and AM radio. Very convenient.
    Smile! Now!

    Some people are like Slinkys.
Useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams.

    End of line.

Not as convenient as my portable musician ensemble. Live music wherever I choose!

Storage space is an issue on my MP3 player (which doesn't play MP3s to boot). I can see the advantages of FLAC when working with music (when I do recordings, I find the MP3 compression just terrible sometimes).
    IN SERIO FATVITAS.

So I've been checking AllSp pretty much every day hoping to get a glimpse of a new south park episode...
Finally got frustrated enough to log onto southparkstudios and see what was up.
    Read the following:

    Episode 1508
Original Air Date: Oct 5, 2011
    Season 15 resumes October 5, 2011.

    Uuuuugh. D: October too far!
a little less conversation, a little more action please

i really hate discussions about "intelligence" and people flaunting their supposed IQ and shit like that. disgusting. people just want another reason to think they are better than other people, and to make themselves feel better about being social misfits ("it's because i'm too smart to put up with other people!")

welp, if you're so intelligent, do something to prove it. help the world. quit sitting on your ass in front of your computer talking about how great you are.

You should put [Fi][/Fi] around this rant since it's assuming that helping the world is a worthwhile cause.

Why not? I rip CDs to individual tracks and you can too. But there is still plenty of software to split FLAC Image/Cue versions.

On the other hand, I like to use the fact that I have an average IQ to explain why I will never achieve anything of worth in my entire life.
