my worry is I don't know if what I know is actually French, Acadian, or Quebecor...

Meh, we all understand it. It's like Brits and Aussies and Yanks understand each other, though they all sound different and use some different vocab/expressions.

whatever - I understand Portuguese when it's written, I just can't say anything back because I never studied it! I understand it cos I do know other Latin languages, but I don't know the particular rules of Portuguese well enough to construct sentences of my own in it.

Oberon - np; thanks for the points (finally, you a**h*l*!! )

And now let that be an end to this entertaining, though naughty, derailing of INTJMom's thread!!

You haven't met my room mates from last year. We were watching Australia's Next Top Model and they kept complaining on how they didn't understand what was being said because of the accents

    wow.

and here's a pic I took from my apartment window after the first big snow like a week ago.

not as cozy as INTJmom's pic, but I'm inside my apartment taking the picture with my laptop where it's warm.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

sorry for vanishing INTJ mom! I'd chat french with you, but I'm limited to 3 phrases!

now if you speak Portuguese, I'd be delighted to get in some practice!

<<--This will be me by morning.

I wish I could have that cozy fireplace and cabin scene here where I am, INTJMom.
