No doubt that machine is quite capable, Xander, but IMHO its coolness factor pales in comparison to that of the Brough.

Oh I appreciate the classics but to me there's nothing like tinkering with the latest tech to try and get the damn thing working. Don't give me the original Harley or something, give me the prototype rocket bike which tends to cut out after every 100 miles or so

Besides that I don't like the normal seating position on bikes. I'm just too old and decrepit for all that leaning over tanks. Least the Akira cycle has a proper bucket seat

To my mind I wouldn't be cool for very long if every time we stopped I fell off neither

Still your's is definitely the aficionados choice. Very old school and yes cool, I'm just broken enough to have the first thought come out as "that doesn't look too comfy". Depressing.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

Well, you can always have your retro and hi-perf too. Ever seen a Confederate Hellcat?

It's like the Brough's great-grandchild. It's got the genes, but it was raised on crack and thrashmetal.

Nice. Looks fun for a quick blast down a country lane. Couldn't ride it long term though, trust me buckets seats are definitley a requirement

    Cool bike though.

i.e., the very thing that killed T.E. Lawrence.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

    In no likes experiment.
