    Default Phone Cadence Confusion

I have a potential problem that strikes me funny, but that I also dread. Whenever I end phone conversations I have an inclination to end it with the wrong cadence. Last night a co-worker called to cancel a meeting with me this morning. She is really sweet and bubbly (a little like my mom and sister), and I had to consciously stop myself from accidentally ending the conversation with, "I sure love ya". Just now I was talking to my mom and almost said, "I love you too, Sweety".

This is going to embarrass me at some point. Do you do this, and how to make it stop?

I do stuff like this all the time. I assumed it was just Fe-fail. Stuff like renting my suit for prom, the guy says "Have fun at the prom!" and I follow it up with a "thanks you too!"

Bad at initiating the goodbye with my SO too, but she's used to me being useless like that.

Nothing too terrible, but my work environment is not a place where people tell each other they love them terribly often. The thing with my mom would just be funny because it's just not something a person typically calls their mom. Probably something much worse will come of it in the end. Ha.

I do that with Happy Birthday. When someone calls to wish it to me I say, "Happy Birthday to you too!" by mistake.
