Default I need to brag and have my fingers crossed

I've completed my manuscript. It's finished. Now who said ENTPs can't finish things?
Okay, I confess, I've had the greatest help of a great ESTJ The same ESTJ (did I say he's great?) will scrutinize the whole thing for one last time and then we'll send it off to a publisher.
I keep my fingers crossed and start writing a new one. That's of course the nicest thing about finishing a novel... you're able to start a new one with fresh ideas.

Thanks... Spelling and grammar are checked now. I didn't even need a deadline! I was working every free minute on it.
I just need a good query letter now.

Gratulations, finishing a project always reminds me of the moment when Tom Hanks in the movie cast away danced naked around the fire shouting "I've made fire !"

Wow, congratulations! If you need tips or advice for the next stage, the forums over at: Absolute Write Water Cooler - Powered by vBulletin are pretty in-depth. Good luck! Sending things out is pretty exciting in and of itself too.

Good for you! I've heard one author say that it never feels like your done - at some point you just have to fling the manuscript out to the world and see what happens. Good luck!!!

I've sent it off to a publisher yesterday.
I've worked two years on the manuscript, I didn't want to blow it by hurrying on the cover letter and synopsis... But now it's gone. It's definite. I can't change anything any more.
I can't stop thinking about it now... I can't keep attention on the lessons I'm about to give or even on my next story.

The strangest thing is... the publisher gets tens or even hundreds of such manuscripts. To him, it's just one among the others. To me, it means much more. It's my creation. I'm proud of it. But EVERY author of those tens or hundreds of manuscripts probably feels like me. There are a lot of unique creations where lots of effort and time have been spent on.

    Hmm. I envy you.

I got the inspiration for hundreds, maybe even thousands, of novels swimming through my head, but I never get around putting them on paper. I've only managed to complete some shorts.
