So many madmins have piped up that there is a general pool and people get assigned to things, but yet, people keep insisting that Protean is a demon. She's opened up and responded to each point, never once shutting anyone out. She's answered all questions and even shown her log. Other madmins have backed her up. But it's still not enough.

And the question is, what is enough? What is it that you guys want to happen?

After all the complaining (criticism), can we have some ideas (construction)?

People can (imo) whine all day long, but what is the point of that? When something happens that you don't like, complain about that one thing. Start a thread about it. When you get an infraction, post your offending post or PM out in the open for everyone to see and judge on their own. Make your own private transgressions public. Then do it again and again, each time. The mods are kind enough to keep these things private, so we have no way of knowing what the real story is until people speak up for themselves. If you keep doing that, then the truth will be out in the open. But as it stands, I see no proof of what is being asserted here.
It was a discussion and one carried out in a civil way in an appropriate place. What is your problem with this? I personally never specifically attacked Protean or called her a demon. If anything, she kept pressing me. I don't need your advice on how to be or communicate. I am just fine on my own.

As far as proof, none is needed because as I said previously, I, for one, was just saying the moderation needed to come down a notch or two as it regards arguements and butting in by mods. I'm not saying which mods do this. I expect them to contemplate that for themselves. Why do I need to prove my point? Jeezus, I was simply making a suggestion. They, of course, can take it how they will. Furthermore, I choose not to come out with every single bullet I have in my mind about this stuff. I would be crazy to make reference to things I've experienced or intuited or gleened as my proof! I would get slaughtered. Besides, it's just my opinion, and I am not responsible for how others take that opinion. They can look at it objectively or not. That's out of my control.

As for your suggestion about suggestions, I gave them a couple different times. I suggested not getting involved in a 'discussion,' not pming the offensive person, not writing on their wall, not repping them (not flexing muscle), unless there has been a complaint filed or it really seems like some major infraction of rules is going on. If that's what's currently being employed, great; if not, perhaps some more consciousness, and less reacting, should go into moderating.

I didn't say that there was anything wrong with asserting yourself. If you assert yourself and are met with a resistance that you don't like, then feel free to leave - that's the only action you can take. But I haven't seen anyone say that you aren't allowed to complain. In fact, they've set up threads just for complaints.
But you are complaining about my complaining. I take offense at that.

One small thing- try not to mistake a mod taking part in a debate/argument with "butting in." Sometimes we do like to take part in the discussions around here.

But seriously- we're all here because we enjoy this place, and it would suck if we had to stop being members to be mods/admins. I for one (and I think the others do as well) try to make it clear when I'm making an "official" (as official as a casual site like this with all-volunteer mods gets) warning or announcement. And we also try not to moderate in threads where we've participated as members, unless no one else is around to do it.

I can't beleive this thread still has a load of activity going on.... hum ho... the guys will give up eventually.

Is IT me, or are NT guys particularly prone to hazing people, it just seems SO constant and so cyclical

I don't know if that is "intuitive" in the MBTI way... but Protean's extremely canny about how group situations operate and how social trends work, and is very down to earth about it. She's taught me a lot through her observations and conclusions.
