    Isn't Nebraska in the Mideast?

I thought it was, because it seems kind of on the eastern side of The United States.

Well, truthfully, even at the coastal points of antarctica, it frequently gets colder than that in the winter, without factoring for the wind chill.

Nebraska is generally considered one of the peripheral parts of the midwest, even though the term is stupid. In fact, Ohio is usually called a part of the midwest. The name is highly antiquated, you see.

Well, that makes sense. I don't really hear "mideast" at all. Maybe I do, but sometimes it's just hard to remember.

Do you call it that because planes fly over it a lot?

It got cold like that when we lived in North Dakota. Loved the people. Hated the weather. We were starving students and didn't have a running vehicle half the time. Strapped a laundry basket to a child's sled to bring groceries home in the winter. Way too much fun.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
