I've always felt close to my dad and today I came home after a long hard over night shift during which I'd got no sleep and had to challenge someone who was threatening to punch me in the mouth, my dad was talking about how at home they'd watch Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino and he said that Clint's character reminded him of me.

I love the bit in that film when the Clint's character says to the guy about when you know you've just messed with someone you really shouldnt have messed with, that's as good a line as anything from the Dirty Harry movies.

Clint Eastwood is the man. I loved Gran Torino, but wish they would've picked a different actor for every actor in that movie who WASN'T Clint Eastwood.

Great movie. There are far worse things to be compared to.

Some of them did let the show down, its a movie I'm a little unsure about at times, I like the fact that they did keep it real and it didnt turn into a western shoot out at the finish but it did feature someones suicide by gang banger effectively which I'm not sure about.

That Will Smith movie and a couple of others where all in their own ways promoting "altruistic" suicides at the time too.

I have yet to see it but I hear really good things.

Seven Pounds was such soulbuster for me. I cried from beginning to end.

Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.
