My bedroom faces north, slightly tilted to the east, so I get the first rays of the sunshine in the morning.
As the sun rises my room becomes cosy even though it is freezing outside.
Then I lie luxuriantly in the morning sunshine, sunbaking.
And it is delicious to be sunbaking in the warm sunshine while it is cold outside.
Being slightly puritan I tell myself I am getting my daily dose of vitamin D.
But the truth is that it is delicious to sunbake on a cold Autumn morning. And I feel good afterwards all day.
And it is true: it is the sunshine and the cold that make Canberra beautiful.
