    ^Good point. I've stopped using them as much with people here that I talk to a lot. I figure they get what I'm saying, and if they don't, we're cool enough that they'll just ask me what I meant.

    I use them to help set a tone, as there isn't anything I dislike more than text2text misinterpretation instigating perfectly avoidable and useless debates.
