I left 'ze cross trainers at my apartment.
I only have steel toed boots to wear to and in Kuwait right now - I've been looking around my family's home for a pair of comparable shoes, but no one else has big feet!
...is it against Islamic norms to work out barefoot? I suppose I'll find out.

where will you be working out??
I'm heading over to kuwait next week as well. lol.
Just buy new ones, they're really cheap in Kuwait!!
I dont suggest working out barefoot, you'd be looked at funny, esp in kuwait, they'd start talking shit.

All right, ye know what? I'm requesting an incomplete in this one class. I got 100% on four out of six papers thus far, and this last paper is dragging me with my lack of sleep into the gutter.
Screw it. Car accident, claims, full time work, classes, and getting my wisdom teeth out in a foreign country?
No. Screw that with a big, silly, dry stick.

Yes, Thats right. Kuwait is like holly wood, except with more money and everyone thinks they're the creme de la creme of the elite.
I strongly suggest getting shoes if you want to join a gym, they probably wont let you in if you're not dressed properly. They're really weird about that. Standards and all.
I might be there next week, I might take a different flight and visit Jordan instead, I haven't solidified my plans yet, as much as I'd like to :/
Have fun though! The weather is going to be great.
Its going to be weird going from 2 feet of snow to tshirts, and SUN!!!!

Indeed! Where I am it rains every day and has been under forty degrees fahrenheit for weeks - and now I'm off to a place with no rain and 60-70 degree weather.
It was a slight joke in regards to going barefoot, as I have no doubt dress codes are taken seriously in Kuwait. I'm also going to Dubai, why would ye choose Jordan over Kuwait? They're both such tourist hotspots...

I was going to do Dubai as well!! I doubt it. I don't have enough time. :/
and I knew you were kidding. I just imagined really crappy sandals.
I've been to Kuwait a DOZEN times. I prefer it over Jordan though, but really its just a means of getting from A to B, both places get me to my final destination.
Beware, its super humid in the morning, and pretty chilli at night.
