It isn't impossible. Just consider the existence of shellfish.

Obviously, getting blood into the wheel would require some very creative engineering, even though i don't think it would be impossible. One way to circumvent this problem would be to not require circulation in the wheel, much like a clam doesn't need blood to flow in his shell for it to function, but this might leave the wheel too obstinate. Perhaps a better option would be a colonial organism where several individuals form one larger "creature", like a Portugese Manowar.

It's a little too cool for me...I live in a subtropical climate. Accustomed to 90+ (32+C) and humidity around 80-100% during the day and often still above 80/26.6 at night during the summer--it can be pretty brutal if you're not used to it (or even if you are).

Actually that is a pleasant temp when I think about what it will be this weekend...a low of 38 (3.3) Saturday night! I better go and check my heater.

Thank you so much Vasilisa! It's the first thread. I was attempting to help a friend last night and neither one of us found it. Of course, I was also sleepy and cranky, so there you go.

I was thinking of taking a bath tonight for the first time in years and that may have sold me on yes.
