Woke up earlier, just to get into this text conversation:
[Java Trainer's Boss] hai (my name) gd morning, did you attend the training yesterday?
[Me] Good morning, yeah I did
[JTB] YOU SAID YOU ARE NOT INTRESTED? u already updated rite? so (another staff member) already intimated to trainer, the link will be blocked
[Me] Ah okay, thanks
As for the background of how this came about: so my Java training was going pretty well, for the most part... until these guys started asking me to lie about my entire job experience, college graduation year and date of birth (specifically the year - and the one they picked, my parents weren't even married at that time!). I was not okay with any of this, so I told them so. They freaked out and tried to convince me that lying about all that would help me get through the job interviews, but I said, "Look, I'm still not comfortable about this, and am considering leaving."
So between yesterday and this morning, they apparently took it as a "Yes, I'm leaving" (which honestly, I don't mind at all) and talked among themselves. But I wasn't told whether I should attend the online training session one last time or not. I showed up anyway just to be safe, but didn't participate at all and simply logged out at the end of it.
Anyway, I'm glad it's over now. I probably should have seen that the Java training these guys offered was too good to be true but at least now I know how some people end up getting jobs here in the U.S.
