Random thoughts I have - for some strange reason; I have a habit of identifying people by the car they drive. For example if I know a friend has a ford fiesta - every time a see a similar color and model driving I always look to see if its my friend! I do this with everyone I know as I seem to identify them through their car, not in any superficial way but just in a way of association.

I used to heavily identify people by their cars and thier shoes when I was young, I used to think they're expressing something somehow, they tell me a story about the person.. It sure do, at least to some level

Prius owners. I don't think you're special or a good person because you own a Prius. I think you're a pretentious, elitist ass (like Brian on Family Guy).

At Fourth of July, found out a childhood friend died last year in child birth, leaving her husband to raise a newborn alone. It's been getting to me.

I've cried maybe 3 times in my adult life and that was one of them.

She was my underage drinking buddy when I would visit my grandparents.

This life is short and that's comforting in the face of this sort of pain and loss. Wish I could find a way to help or reach out to her family.

Oh dear... I'm sorry to hear that having lost my grandmother back in March, I know what it's like to lose someone close to your heart - so it's all right to let your emotions out. I don't really know what else to say that could help, except that I sincerely hope you'll be fine...

I love that our cable tv has 2 channels devoted to Olympic soccer and basketball competition. That frees up NBC to show only swimming and gymnastics. Also, kudos to NBC for skipping all the bicycling events; most boring spectator sport ever, besides curling.
