Yeah so looking at Vancouver's Meetup page and holy shit I just do not fit in here at all, it's so bland and everyone is the same and there's no diversity or real culture, holy crap it's so boring. And no offense to anyone, but really well to do or conventional foreign people who I have nothing in common with as well.

I guess it's just punk rock and music shows for me, that's all I ever hope to find like minded folks omfg.

Wealth and austerity and privileged just flood from every orifice and pour in my body. All the alternative music people/punks, a lot of them are mostly freaking drunks though, god damnit. I am not a drunk.

I am not ashamed to admit that everyone is boring and I do not care at all anymore.

I mean I find it weird that maybe in some small way I have sort of kind of in my most narcissistic periods have ended up, me the weirdo, pessimist, outcast deadbeat as taken on the role of carrying on the tradition of long lasting intellectual thoughts that I stumbled upon when I was younger that seems to be mostly or completely forgotten about or erased from a culture entirely. I'm going to start a Meetup "Non-revolutionary, tune in, drop out" group and we'll sit around and be failures and utter senile losers together, entwined for all time.

Have you considered MBTI meetup groups? I noticed Chicago has a very nice INTJ meetup group. If they actually have events, it might be worth checking out once I get more... settled. Of course, that's because I think it would be cool to hang out with NTish people and people who get along well with them.

It might even be good for networking.

Ah, there's none of that stuff here, it's a totally empty and superficial dump of shallow consumerism

Here, if you talk about anything at all intellectual people will be freaked out/offended, try to change subject and just pretty much run away or never talk to you again. So much for world class city.

I guess Canada has just become synonymous with the concept or idea that it's "safe" and the weather is okay and you probably won't get stabbed or shot if you live here, and that's the only reason anyone is here.

It can't be that bad. I'd love to visit Vancouver some day. But then the northwest fascinates me, anyway. It's the one region in North America I haven't really visited.

Well I mean if you play your cards right and you are fairly aware you will not get shot.

But anyway, it's all been sold out to easily disposable and readily available entertainment, distractions, and a culture of quick and easy solutions to moral dilemma's or problems; thanks, psychiatry, massively inflated and propagated and massively dispensed into the culture by large corporations, the ceo's and executives, new age-ism, eastern philosophy, and the moral decline of western civilization and culture.

I should write a song and call it "VANCOUVER, BEST PLACE ON EARTH, YOU WONT GET SHOT" and then writhe on the floor like I have seizures and scare everyone. But yeah, I guess I should be happy I don't live under a totalitarian dictatorship or anything.
