Do we live and act according to a complex set of biochemical determinants? Is anything truly random, or is every outcome predestined by the particular arrangement of things and energies at any given moment? Do we really have a choice? When we choose option A over option B, was there ever any question that we really might choose option B; was it always "written in the stars" that we would choose A?
Is free will and choice an illusion designed to keep us from settling into existential depression?
Pretty "productive" day today. I learned what to do to better myself away from procrastination, is to set a timer. Yes! I tried accomplishing my tasks under a realistically short amount of time; it worked! I'd be careful not to do it too much and take breaks.
