I wonder if there's more than a coincidential link between Biggles Adventures in Time and Quantum Leap.

Also I'm lead to believe that Quantum Leap was done and dusted in the US long before it actually became popular in the UK, also that the actor from Quantum Leap was not a nice guy, and some of his other roles in which he played a bit of a jerk were more accurate to how he actually was (I was disappointed to find out the same thing about the lead in Due South) and that the "disappointing conclusion" to QL as a consequence of a "shock cancellation" because viewing had plummitted.

I wonder if the same sorts of things would have happened if the show was broadcast today with the internet.

Aren't books great? You can acquire knowledge and wisdom in a couple of hours what it took some dude/gal decades to learn. I salute all the great authors out there; there should be a national Authors Day.

But yeah, I agree. A lot of knowledge we couldn't gain other way.
