'Consciousness is not simply a sensory-perceptual affair, a matter of mental imagery, as the contents of our mind would have us believe. It is deeply enmeshed with the brain mechanisms that automatically promote action readiness' - Jaak Panksepp
My teammate and I are both INFP. And we have just started to write the field visit report that is due by today. I seriously think we are gonna screw our final presentation because our incurable procrastination. But I feel really comfortable paring up with her :-P
I don't want to die in a car accident. When I die it'll be a glorious day. It'll probably be a waterfall.
To those whom this concerns: I have a feeling that some people here are trying to communicate with me in some weirdly indirect way, like instead of directly posting or talking to me, you make these odd random third-person posts and expect me to pick up on that you are really talking to me.
I am sure this relating style has a name and I am also sure it is likely a mental health issue. As much as I love reading everyone's posts here, I might just stick to my own threads from now on, because I feel that my bopping on here throughout the day enables these distant and avoidant communication behaviors.
We are all close enough now to interact directly. So please do. Take the plunge. I won't bite [unless you want me to ]

The more one loves God, the more it is that having nothing in the world means everything, and the less one loves God, the more it is that having everything in the world means nothing.
Do not resist an evil person, but to him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer also the other. ~Matthew 5:39
we checked the mail today and there was a letter for me from the IRS, so I was a bit leery of it from the envelope... I opened it and all it said on the first page was something about "if you owe money, please mail it in with this page" so I was thinking something like "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit..." and then I went to the second page which announced that they owed me hundreds of dollars that they'd forgotten from 2010 and were going to pay it to me now
I'm rather pleased by this
