    Some thoughts about MBTI that aren't well-developed enough to go in their own thread and I'm too lazy to search for the appropriate places in the actual Typology forum. XD They're probably not original.

    Pe --> Pi --> Ji --> Je

    Pe gathers information from the external world. Fuel has to go in the car before the car can run.

    Pi takes the information that Pe gathered and processes it further, trying to give either sensory or abstract context and get a more complete picture of what's happening. Everything Pi processes at one point had to come from Pe, even if "at one point" was seventeen years ago.

    Ji and Je take turns judging the information. Ji applies it to the internal network of values which may have been established initially by Pi and Je but now somehow applies before Je (see what I mean about not being well developed? Lol). Ji makes sense of the information.

    Je figures out how to apply that information in the external world and assists Ji in judging information according to a framework of externally-derived values.

    The MBTI cognitive functions determine which of these processes is strongest/most efficient/preferred as well as their orientation (T/F and S/N).

    ....

    If this isn't Ne, I don't know what is. XD

    Granted. Maybe.

    But waiting for the solution to come to you via "A-ha!" moment in the first place is also plenty lazy!!
