You can compliment all you want to try to convince to do your bidding, but truthfully, "words of affirmation" is not high on my list. It's a mere barometer of how useful I am to you. It's just so happens that the high praise often coincides with something I see as valuable unrelated to the task at hand. Just know, if I don't want to do something, you won't persuade me with words.

It's not worth caring no more.
I never did care much, but now
I know it's not worth it.

Caring is emotional investment. It's kind of like capital investment. It often doesn't work out. But when it DOES, it pays back much more than you lost on all the ones that didn't work out. You just have to be patient, persistent and not invest too much in any one thing/person.
An argument is two people sharing their ignorance.

A discussion is two people sharing their understanding, even when they disagree.

What's the point in even investing time to waste time, if you know the thing won't work out and isn't worth your time?
Do you wait around and hope things change? Hell no.
Do you move onto something better? Yes.

Had some cold pressed juice earlier. My body feels like it's rejecting itself now.

Ugh. I think someone else will have to sing my songs because my technique is so bad. I just want it to sound the way it does in my head.
