I generally feel very out of the loop on most things. Popular culture, new tech, etc. I live in a bubble of my own interests and thoughts. I've always been like this and I can't seem to help it. I find out about most "new" things well after they've become old news to everyone else. The thing is, I really don't care. Most of it is seems very mundane and uninteresting anyway. How much of the crap and events people are discussing at present really matter or be discussed in 100, 1000, 10000, etc years' time?
Nicki Minaj is still going to be queen in 10,000 years.
I think I need to go back to school, not sure where to start though. But maybe it's too late and given the level of my capacity....

Wouldn't have expected that combination -- but now I want to try it!

It actually comes together pretty well. The goat cheese has a really distinctive flavor that works well with the smokiness and briny taste of the oysters. The sweetness of the preserves breaks it up. You don't want anything too sweet or it overpowers everything else. Less is more.
I had a friend introduce me to the magic of prosciutto wrapped melon as well, which is pretty amazing.

somehow spending half of my day driving a stand up forklift is more exhausting and wearing than actually moving and dragging/throwing heavy things all day long... my ankle hurts from pushing a pedal somehow my brain is still content with being awake

I truly must be a communist at heart. I devise ways in which I can break the rules of nature and give my roommate's two cats food at the same time instead of letting the alpha male eat his share first.
