Got nearly an entire car load of books to dump off at the charity shop, this isnt even a quarter of the way through my current end of year/new year rationalisation of my books and reading habits.
I'm currently praying for the strength not to engage in any dumb consumer behaviour leading to the back up of books all over again. I struggle with this and its a damn variety of addictive behaviour if ever there was one.
Get an eReader and download the books for free online, and then upload them onto it through your USB pen. That way, everyone's happy.
I do that a lot, and I find it useful to do. You can always make back-ups on your PC and read them through an ePub/PDF reader.
The dog dies...a cautionary list. (159 books) I remember as a child I would happily pick books off the library shelves based on the happy dog (horse, etc.) on the cover, only to find that the animal kicks it miserably partway through.
