It seems like many of my peers have a serious problem with the very existence of me, and have so - childishly and ruthlessly, decided to exclude me from their community. Alas, this is the consequence of speaking ones mind and remaining true to self.

Some people are drunk on their own so-called authority because of their title.

This reminds me of a quote that I read from somewhere:

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Bernard Baruch

This quote has always struck me as partially misleading. Sure, it holds true in most cases. That said... if most people are turning on you, ...then maybe the problem is you and something should change. Unfortunately, most don't when that occurs, in particular if it's rooted in "I am my own person no matter what!" thought patterns.

It would seem a big phenomenon in social psychology that there are these famous and "wise" sayings seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum, often contradicting each other. It's quite hilarious and a bit sad to see them together.
[Interviewer: "What was it like to be defined by being beautiful?"]
Connelly: "It's uncomfortable to talk about - there's no way to come off right! If you say you are beautiful, you sound obnoxious, and if you deny it, doesn't that sound obnoxious?"

Great! According to the latest numbers Germany now not only has the world's lowest fertility rate after Japan (or even the lowest, depending on how you calculate it), we also have the oldest population after Japan.

If you keep that in mind there are some benefits to the fact that one million refugees arrived here this year alone (refugee nr. 1,000,000 was registered in Bavaria today).

Me: I'm gonna start my paper as soon as I get home
Me: I'm going to take a break first
Me: Oh now I'm hungry so I'm going to eat first
Me: Fuck it the paper's not due until 6pm tomorrow anyway
