spent 24 of the past 48 hours at work... actually got in trouble for working too many hours by work

The reason why I wanted to back things up in the first place was to split my OS drive in two and try Ubuntu again.
... that wasn't worth it. Maybe I'll come back to Ubuntu when I'm not completely burned out of computers or something.

Even better, keep a pristine image of it, and in the off chance the original dies or is infected, Shazam!, you have your original install to copy over. If it weren't for the fact that all my work and play is in Windows, I'd do that. But as it stands, it's really only practical for browsing and email.An argument is two people sharing their ignorance.
