I dunno anymore, he already has been told he is gonna have liver issues, and these natural detox tablets are only gonna sustain him for so long. Man, I dunno anymore... the only reason I care is because I love him, and want what's best for him... but he insists on indulgence.
When a person is addicted to drinking, there is usually a psychological reason behind it. They don't really drink because they enjoy drinking, but they drink because they are trying to drown their sorrows.

Your dad must be feeling down over something. What is he feeling down about? I believe this is the root cause of his drinking issues, once you managed to find out this root cause you will be able to resolve his drinking issues.

He was quite fond of the drink. It was the drink that killed him.
How awful. He was an alcoholic?
No, he was hit by a Guinness truck. So it was quite literally the drink that killed him.

He has always drunk a lot for years. He has never had any sorrows that I know of. I think he has become more addicted to drinking because he can drink more, because his tolerance has been upped. I can't seem to find anything that has upset him, or any real ulterior motives to his drinking, apart from the fact he says that he enjoys it and it calms him down a bit.

I dunno, he seems to get withdrawl symptoms after a day or so. I am trying to encourage him to cut down his alcohol intake, but he doesn't wanna know, which is the part that is pissing me off the most. He knows that if he continues drinking a lot, he is gonna end up needing a new liver. Doctors have already warned him about his liver, and although he is taking stuff to help him, its effects won't last forever. Cutting down and the tablets WILL help him a lot, but he can't cut down.
