Yuck. I hate it. I much prefer the loop-tail lowercase g over the open-tail.

    ^ So it's permanent? I don't like it.
I thought it was one day thing.

Personally, I like Bauhaus as a movement and style, find it aesthetically pleasing and think it aged rather well.
But then I have always been a great fan of that entire world around it.

Come to think of it... I had been planning to buy this anyway and now you have inspired me to order it right away:

    Hah, contrarian.

When I say I appreciate it, I'm fascinated with aesthetic/cultural movements, the linking of style with politics. But, I find Bauhaus really impersonal. Basically, it hurts my feelings.

Not a contrarian (ha!) but a different set of preferences and priorities perhaps. I like the clarity and cleaness of it, the optimistic modernity.
There is another graphic design book I'd love to buy which is about the work of Saul Bass (whom I absolutely love). What do your Fi sensitivities say about him?

I had to look him up, I definitely have seen his stuff and stuff inspired by him. It's simple, but with lots of movement and contrast in forms. It feels very jazzy to me, I like it.

I think I'm a little put out by things too heavily invested in the concept of Architecture, it always brings to mind designs acting upon me, instead of designs meeting me halfway. I was at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago this weekend, they had an exhibit with black architectural forms in a black room that were designed to invite you to use them in ways they were completely unsuited for. A welcoming and elemental gate shepherding me into a claustrophobic fence, a set of cardinal arrows inviting you to center in a spot taken up by a very awkward post. It all gave me the creeps, I gave it about 3 minutes and then bolted.

It would be hard not to have (unknowingly) seen anything by him, at least if you are into movies:

You don't want design to be overintellectualized or to manipulate you? Fi, I tells ya!

I got banned from INTPcomplex because of these sorts of shenanigans. If you think it's going to work on me a second time, you've got another thing coming. I know everything that you know, and maybe more. It won't work.

I did a quiz today called "add magic sauce" or something like that, its a psychometric test which assesses you on the basis of facebook and I got some mad results.

It indicated that I was 100% smarter than the population, 93% more satisfied with life than the population and scored something like 99% in the big five for laid back and relaxed.

Although I know the thing is bullshit because on a pie chart it gave me more than three quarters of the pie as "libertarian", the other options being liberal, conservative and politically disinterested or something like that (which just feeds my suspiscions that there's a real push on to make neo-liberalism memetic and remove things like socialism from the lexicon altogether).

It also didnt score me as a roman catholic but as "christian - other", I dont know how, although it said that 100 out of 100 people with my "likes" were not gay and I was 100% masculine in my gender psychology.
