    You THINK it is refrigerator.
Anything else suspicious? Cracks in the wall or something?

One of the most violent Drs although perhaps not as personally violent as John Pertwee's who carried a collapsable machine gun beneath his cape and rode a buggy out of the tardis which had a lazer cannon on its roof.

    Times have changed.

Still Baker's doctor used to specialise in Venusian Ju Jitsu and he had a companion called Savage who could throw knives with such precision they would lodge in the back of the neck of alien storm troppers necks.

I've enjoyed the new series a lot, although I stopped watching it after I broke up with my ex. I may have to return to it. I'm what you might call a reluctant geek.

But, I am most fond of the older series, probably because of nostalgia, and the format and stories were so different from American TV in very interesting ways, like the omission of any romantic plot lines. In the U.S. it used to show on PBS, which is the only non-commercial TV station along with a few BBC comedies. It was good T.V.

I dont really like the new series because it tries to include a lot of writing and plot tools which were precisely what the old series tried to avoid, such as romantic interests.

I also liked the earlier shows because they appeared so removed from reality and didnt seek to reflect it or to incorporate the big topics or talking points of the day in dull infotainment or edutainment ways like other shows did, like the soap operas all did. A lot of things I've seen posted about it lately on facebook, like rages about the current Dr saying that the Dr must always be a man raising questions among the kids about how long Dr Who has been anti-LGBT and whether or not they should have liked it all along, just remind me of why I liked the classic series.

Also they had long running story archs, Dr Who from its revival hasnt done that well at all, its tried occasionally but the one off episodes, usually referencing earlier material for the fan boys to go look up on the internet, are the staple. I know a lot of people who like it, Canadian friends who hate any of the original series for instance.
