Worked at Texas instruments for about 7 years, have worked at current job for 6 and I still feel funny sometimes sitting at my desk not wearing those blue shoe covers we used to have to wear to enter the building at Texas Instruments. Like I should still be wearing them, it's weird.

What if there were a virus that turned figurative and all non-literal speech into reality. So, for instance, after saying, "I have a splitting headache!" my head would literally split open and my brains would drop out onto the floor.

Did you build and program graphing calculators? Seems like it would be a cool place to work.

Actually, it was the Russian Tsarist secret police. Neither the Germans nor the French had anything to do with it.

No, I was an equipment technician in the photolithography group. I fixed the equipment that was kinda like developing film. The cheap end of our tools was about 20million a piece and went upwards to 120 million a piece. It basically transferred the pattern from a mask to the wafer and developed it using lasers. Was an R&D fab so at the time it was cutting edge technology...I think it was 32nm at the time. Worked in the clean room, you know when you see those Intel commercials where employees are covered head to toe in a white smock.

I heard so many times people saying that it is "the end of the world"...

I should be appalled that such a site exists but I'm too busy laughing.

I mean, seriously... I have to do a special 2 hour course on it, while all of the other special populations are jammed into one hour long unit...
