Although I promised @Patches a long time ago that, should I ever leave, I would choose the spammed-the-forum-with-porn path, I fear that my friends in the modbox would seize that opportunity to bar me from ever coming back again. To keep in contact with some of the people here, though, I would like to preserve at least the possibility of reading and writing the occasional PM. *insult removed* however, I will no longer grace the forum with my presence.

    Goodbye.

It's kind of interesting. It's much cooler to be a nerd or a geek in America now than it used to be. In the 90's people looked on it with contempt; you can see this in the popular culture of the time.

My theory is that this cultural trend is a reaction to the disaster that was Dubya. Gore was a nerd, Dubya was one of the cool guys. We all know how that choice turned out.

The geek shall inherit the earth.

And I thought today would be boring.

The Dancer From Atlantis has been a great read so far, it bothers me that I've worked through virtually all of this authors main titles though, the pace and style of the writing is perfectly amusing and diverting, just what I need in a good piece of entertainment only fiction (although I may say that because of how troublingly right wing they were in their politics, I only found that out relatively lately and it stoked a terrible suspicion I've had for a while that right wingers are better writers, of fiction at least).

I think you're a very good writer, actually. And John Steinbeck was a good writer, and he wasn't right-wing. Neither was Joseph Heller or Kurt Vonnegut. I'm not sure I get your point.

My brain is a mofo. I swing between several moods every day that are quite different from one another, and more often than not it truly is for no discernable reason.

In a strange sort of way, it is kind of fun since emotions have a strong physical component for me.

A 3-D pen. I can't think of a reason why I would need it. But I need it.
