There's a place for me at the end of the rainbow.

I tell myself that about once a month. I wonder if I got it from RW.

And I wonder if I'm going insane.

My mom gives my sister and I shit for liking Star Trek, but for some ungodly reason, she enjoys stuff like Toddlers and Tiaras.

I was deathly afraid of this shit about 3 or 4 years ago.

This might have something to do with it, but I'm not sure.

    Hmm...

According to the authors, the Fourth Turning is a Crisis. This is an era in which institutional life is destroyed and rebuilt in response to a perceived threat to the nation’s survival. Civic authority revives, cultural expression redirects towards community purpose, and people begin to locate themselves as members of a larger group.[23] America’s most recent completed Fourth Turning began with the stock market crash of 1929 and climaxed with the end of World War II. The G.I. Generation (a Hero archetype, born 1901 to 1924) came of age during this era. Their confidence, optimism, and collective outlook epitomized the mood of the era.[24] According to the authors, the Millennial Generation (Hero archetype, born 1982 to 2004), show many traits similar to those of the G.I. youth, including rising civic engagement, improving behavior, and collective confidence.
I think I noticed this too, and you know what? I'm actually pretty optimistic. The ideas that won't work will fade away, leaving only the ones that work. Unsustainable thought patterns can't weather the turbulent storms of the future.

Prophet: Awakening as young adults. Awakening, defined: Institutions are attacked in the name of personal and spiritual autonomy

Hero: Crisis as young adults. Crisis, defined: Institutional life is destroyed and rebuilt in response to a perceived threat to the nation's survival

this rings really true comparing gen x vs millenials... i grew up being told that college-age period is the peak, when you 'find yourself' etc. but most of my peers seem to still be struggling in that regard.

Have a little baby boy, 7lbs 15oz and 20in long. Laying in post partum with mommy, baby, and my son. It's not a 5 star hotel, but still perfect
Take what I say with a grain of salt, because that's all it is compared to the ocean of complexity when it comes to actions and real life.
